Care
Care
To care for an old Navajo rug, lay it flat with a rug pad, away from sunlight and heavy traffic. Vacuum gently with low suction, avoiding the fringe. Never wash—use a textile conservator if needed. For wall display, use Velcro on muslin. Store rolled (not folded), wrapped in acid-free paper or muslin, and keep in a dry, stable climate. Check for moths regularly; cedar or lavender can help deter them.
