 ARTIST STATEMENT

I am THRILLED! with line, shape, shadow and the interplay of color and light and driven to express my impressions and interpretation of these elements as a way to process and integrate my inner and outer worlds. The bold colors and shadows of the Southwest are powerful influences in my work and I am drawn to the intersection between nature and the man made environment. I am also inspired and influenced by the Colorist painting tradition and painters of the Abstract Expressionist movement.
