Buhera Basket Lamp

The base of this unique burlap table lamp is a basket that has traditionally been used for storing mealie (corn), meal and beer by people living in the Buhera District of Eastern Zimbabwe. The baskets are woven by women only, and a basket of this size takes about a week to make.
