Maison Smith was created by sisters Janen Korth and Megan Smith after more than 30 years working together in residential and hospitality design. With family roots in New Mexico spanning nine generations, we opened our first shop in Santa Fe in May 2022, where Megan works alongside her daughter, Tatyana. Twelve years ago, Janen and her husband, Buzz, moved to Sonoma to be closer to their grandchildren in San Francisco, and in October 2022, we opened our second shop in Healdsburg.

Our appreciation of a beautiful home began early. Our mom, Charlene, had an exceptional eye, and growing up, we saw how much beauty she could make out of the everyday. She knew that a home could shape the lives lived within it and create a true sense of place. That practice has stayed with us always.

Maison Smith grew from that way of thinking. We are drawn to things that feel effortlessly classic, but not always predictable. Everything in our shops is something we would use in our own homes, chosen for its craftsmanship, character, and a touch of the unexpected. More than anything, we love helping the people who walk through our doors discover pieces they’ll cherish, and create spaces that feel collected, joyful, and entirely your own.
