Early 20th century, made of Molavi wood (Mahogany) from the Philippines. These chairs were used for the grandfathers to sit at the edge of their sugarcane fields; the higher seat created an advantage to see across the fields, and the wider arms offered a place to set a drink or prop one leg up.
$2,600 each.
